We are asking you to be a part of the shoe challenge by conducting a shoe drive. There are two ways to be involved:

- A group effort with your church or youth group, civic organization, or school

- As an individual

Prizes, the Big Foot trophy, will be awarded to the group and individual who collects the most shoes.

Step 1: If you are conducting a drive as a group effort, form a committee.

Step 2: Choose the dates of your shoe drive.  Most successful drives last about one month.  If you are conducting a drive at your church, within your organization or school, be sure to get permission.

Step 3: Register your shoe drive.  Click here to register your drive.
In the comments section of the registration form type in RTD.
If the drive is a group effort, you will need the name and address of your church, organization or school.

Step 4: Publicize early.  Start letting people know a month before your drive that the collection is coming up.  The Shoes for Orphan Souls team will send you a shoe drive kit which will assist you in promoting your drive.  The kit contains posters, brochures and a video.

Step 5: Choose a highly visible location to collect the shoes.  Build excitement by providing updates on how many shoes have been collected.

Step 6: Count, pack and bring the shoes to Rock the Desert August 7th and 8th.
